Welcome to Ed’s Recycling’s list of materials that should never find their way to our recycling center. While recycling is a crucial part of sustainable living, not all materials are created equal. Improper disposal of non-recyclable items can contaminate recycling streams, hinder the recycling process, and harm the environment. Here, we’ll provide a comprehensive list of materials that are not accepted for recycling and offer alternative ways to dispose of them responsibly.
We DO NOT accept the following materials:
Liquids of any type
Radioactive materials
Tires
Kegs
Televisions or monitors
Glass, wood, concrete, dirt, plastic, garbage
Hazardous Waste, including asbestos
Flammable materials
Paint cans
Ni-Cad batteries
Fiberglass
Refrigerants, including CFC's & HCFC's
PCB containing materials such as capacitors & light ballasts
